CONSERVATION PROGRAMME

Rooikat, jackal and leopard kill the lambs.

The horns of both males and females protect them from predators.

In order not to kill predators, Anatolian mountain sheep dogs are trained to live and protect the sheep all the time (24/24). These are the first dogs to be introduced into the country.
Since they are on the farm, there are no more predator killings. The dog belongs to the cheetah outreach programme and is part of an experiment of 7 farms.

Previously we used border colis. They are good for herding, but not for chasing leopard.
